120 Day Call to Prayer

November 6/10
Cityscape is participating in this corporate, national call to prayer, coming from numerous ministries. Please read our joint letter below, written by Rob Parker:
Dear Friend: We thank everyone who joined us in prayer for the month of October and also those that attended the True North Conference in Winnipeg. As a result, all of the participating ministries believe that the canopy of prayer has had some significant revitalizing over Canada. At the conference and over the past few months, we heard from many prayer-leaders and intercessors across Canada, that this is a crucial time for effectual, fervent prayer for Canada (James 5:16) and our government. James Goll released a powerful word at the conference, to 'stand in the gap' for our nation and our government. Essentially, he said that there will be a persevering army who will rise up with strategic prayer for the next 120 days (Oct 14-Feb12, 2011). We believe that through some significant national events, we are now demonstrating that we can be mobilized nationally as a praying army. Many expressions of corporate prayer have been initiated and launched. There is a strong sense that ground has been gained and we must be diligent to not lose that territory. We believe that this is a kairos time to pray for our government. Because of the mounting pressures that governments are facing globally, we need to pray for stability in our government that they will, with great wisdom, be able to righteously address the many issues that lie ahead, both at home and abroad. A long standing minority government can be challenging for all parties. Therefore, we need to pray for collaboration in all manner of legislation and decision making. Not every decision needs to be politicized with winners and losers, but we need to pray for good government decisions for the benefit of all Canadians. Because Fran and I have been specifically called to pray for our government, the word from James Goll has deeply impacted us. I have felt personally that we are in a calm before the storm. Now is one of those times to blow the trumpet to rally more prayer for Canada and our government. "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice." Prov. 29:2 So together with My Canada/theCRY, Cityscape Prayer and the Canadian Prophetic Counsel, we want to strongly encourage you to invest yourself in focused prayer, standing in the gap for the government of Canada in this hour. National Fast Track

The Vision- In this hour while the global harvest is accelerating in unprecedented ways, Canada, along other Western nations, is being left on the sidelines. We see some salvations, but nothing compared to the sweeping moves of God internationally. The last major “harvesting” in our nation was 40 years ago as many turned to God during the Jesus Movement. Yet God still longs that in this generation, none should perish. Biblical fasting and prayer has always been God’s initial catalyst to release revival and harvest. In Canada, in 2008, it is no different! Over 70% of decisions for Christ are made before age 21, so numerous Canadian prayer ministries are standing together and calling the nation into a year of focused fasting and prayer, specifically to see a mighty move of the Spirit breakout upon the younger generation. We are crying out that the Lord would call a whole generation to Himself, in a move of God far surpassing the Jesus Movement of the 1960s & 70s.

The Fast Track-The call is for region after region of the nation to each shoulder responsibility for 40 days which they would fill with fasting and prayer. Some in the region may want to fast and pray for the full 40 days, others may commit to a week, or one day a week for the 40 days, still others may only be able to sign up for one day. But when each one walks in wholehearted obedience to the Lord, He will do the rest. Like a relay race, the fasting “baton” will begin on the East Coast in the Newfoundland and Atlantic Time Zones. After 40 days it will move to the Eastern Time Zone and remain in Quebec, Nunavut and Ontario for another 40 days. Then the “baton” moves again to the Central Time Zone, Mountain Time Zone and Pacific, each time zone carrying their 40 days of focused fasting and prayer one after another. During the days that each region (time zone) is holding the “fasting baton”, we strongly encourage prayer rallies and special prayer meetings to corporately join together and cry out to God for a move of His Spirit. Provincial coordinators will be helping to encourage such events.

Marketplace Ministry

Have you considered your calling to be a light in your vocation? If you have, then like many you are realizing that as believers we are called to be full-time ministers of the Gospel in the very place you find yourself each day. We are all called to be priests in the sphere of influence we are in daily. Is the time coming soon for a rally/conference in the Peace Area focussing on marketplace ministry teachings?

Faith In The Airwaves

God be Praised! At long last Grande Prairie and area now has a fulltime Christian FM broadcast with the recent completion of Shine FM CJGY 96.3. This is such an answer to years of prayer and is a real next step in the opening of the veil of post-modernity to reach this region with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is a new place, spiritually, and we will see greater victories, and new battles, an altered climate and time. Thank the Lord often for the people involved, and His favour for this city, region, and time.

Consecration Call 2007

Day 52 Declarations

Exalting God For Who He Is
God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To You be honor and might forever. Father we thank You that You ARE love – the very essence of love is captured fully in Your nature and character.

We praise You, O LORD, among the nations; we sing of You among the peoples. For great is Your love, higher than the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

O LORD, You are our God; we will exalt You and praise Your name, for in perfect faithfulness You have done marvellous things, things planned long ago.

O LORD God Almighty, who is like You? You are mighty, O LORD, and Your faithfulness surrounds You.

Holy! Holy! Holy! is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being."

1 Timothy 6:15-16; Psalm 108:3-4; Isaiah 25:1, Psalm 89:8, Revelation 4:8;11

Jesus the Image of God
Father we thank You for Jesus, Your Son who is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life is the light of men.

Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Hebrews 1:3-4, John 1:1-5, Colossians 1:15-20

Thanking God for Setting Us Free
We joyfully give thanks to You Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Lord we thank You that You who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

So then, just as we received Christ Jesus as Lord, we continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as we were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

We declare that we are not taken captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. Cycles of death of human striving based on fear and drivenness to perform to earn love or acceptance are broken. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and we have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. In him we were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through Your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

We thank You Father that by circumcision You have cut off every lying voice of the enemy – voices of fear, of despair, of rejection, of discouragement and made them strange and unfamiliar voices to us. You are the Good Shepherd and You call Your own sheep by name and lead them out. We follow You alone because we know Your voice and we will never follow a stranger, in fact we will run away from him, because we do not recognize the voice of a stranger.

Thank you for freeing us God! Whom the Son has set free is free indeed!

Colossians 1:11-14, Colossians 2:6-12, John 10:14-16, John 8:36

Thanking God for Restoring Hope
Father we thank You for making our valleys of Achor – the places of our greatest defeats and discouragements and wounds – doors of hope! We declare that the power of hope deferred is broken in our lives because we have this hope as an anchor for our souls: that our lives depend on two unchangeable things Your nature and Your word in which it is impossible for You to lie. You are not a man O God that You should lie or a son of man that You should change Your mind. Do You speak and not act? NO! Do You promise and not fulfill? NO! There has been a commandment of blessing spoken over us and it cannot be reversed. We declare that we have fled to take hold of this hope offered to us. We have returned to You, our Rock and our Fortress our Deliverer and we have become prisoners of hope! We hear now with the ears of faith You announce that You will restore twice as much to us in this day!

Hosea 2:15, Hebrews 6:18-19, Numbers 23:19-20, Psalm 18:12, Zechariah 9:12

Committing to Live as Children of Light
Everyone who has this hope God purifies himself just as You are pure. Lord we declare that as sons and daughters of God, beloved by You, we choose to put off our old selves, which are being corrupted by its deceitful desires and to be made new in the attitude of our minds and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. As we choose to walk in the light, as You are in the light, we know we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin.
Father we commit from this day forward to live as children of the light, that is in all goodness, righteousness and truth and to find out what pleases You Lord instead of living according to our own desires.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. But we do not use our freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, we serve one another in love knowing that the entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love Your neighbor as yourself." Your word says that if we love You, we must do as You command. And if we obey Your word then, Your love is made complete in us. This is how we know we are in You: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.

No man has any greater love than to lay down his life for a friend. Father we thank You that You have given us undivided hearts- in our thoughts, words, actions and attitudes we walk in complete integrity with the heart of Christ. We can love like Jesus loved because You have strengthened us with power through Your Spirit in our inner beings so that Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith. And being rooted and established in love we have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.

1 John 3:3, 1 John 1:7, Ephesians 4:22-24, Eph 5:8-10, Galatians 5:13-14, I John 2:5-6, John 15:13, Ezekiel 11:19, Philippians 3:16-19, 1 Cor 15:31 Gal 5:1; 13-14, Ephesians 3:16-19, 1 John 4:17-18

Declaring that We are One Body
Father by the power of Your love we can declare that there is one body and one spirit – just as we were called to one hope when we were called – one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.

We are the body of Christ and each one of us is a part of it. God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, we clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. We bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances we may have against one another. We forgive as the Lord forgave us. And over all these virtues we put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. We let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts, since as members of one body we were called to peace.

As the body of Jesus Christ we choose to love even those who set themselves as enemies against us. We do good to those who hate us, we bless those who curse us, pray for those who mistreat us. If someone strikes us on one cheek, we turn to him the other also. We give to everyone who asks us, and if anyone takes what belongs to us, we do not demand it back. We do unto others as we would have them do unto us.

Jesus we thank you for giving us the same glory the Father gave you that we might be One. May we be brought to complete unity to let the world know that the Father sent Jesuse and has loved them even as the Father have loved Jesus.

Ephesians 4:4-7, 1 Corinthians 12:24-26, Colossians 3:12-15, Luke 6:27-31, John 17:22-23

Pledging Total Submission to One Head
Father we declare that it is a new day and no longer will the church live as if we had no king, with everyone doing what seems right in their own eyes. We thank You that You have made known to us the mystery of Your will according to Your good pleasure, which You purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment - to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ. We declare this time has come and that there is One Head over Your body in the church of the Peace Region, the church of Alberta and the church of Canada. We declare that as One body in submission to one Head, we will not initiate for You God according to the dictates of human wisdom in our lives, our families, our churches, our cities, our provinces and our nation. But we will wait on You until You speak and once You speak, we will walk in obedience to all Your commands.

Lord we know that we can’t play it safer than Jesus did. So we declare that we have been crucified with Christ nevertheless we live, but not we ourselves, but Christ lives in us. The life we live in our bodies, we live by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us. Whatever was to our profit we now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, we consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord, for whose sake we have lost all things. We consider them rubbish, that we may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of our own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ-the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. We want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

Since, then, we have been raised with Christ, we set our hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. We set our minds on things above, not on earthly things. For we died, and our lives are now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then we also will appear with Him in glory.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary and subject to change, but what is unseen is eternal.

Judges 21:25, Ephesians 1:9-10, Ephesians 3:10-11, Galatians 2:20, Philippians 3:7-11, Colossians 3:1-4, 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Declaring It is a New Day and His Lordship and Kingdom Coming to Our Nation
Father we declare this is a new day! You by Your own hand have delivered us and rolled away the reproach of the past season of bondages from our lives. You have circumcised our hearts and healed us and prepared us so that now as One Body under One Head, we can move forward into the Promised Land to claim every inheritance that You have for Your church. Your intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to Your eternal purpose which You accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now as one body we declare we are Your witnesses and we speak into the spiritual realm over the Peace Region, over Alberta and over Canada, that You are God. Yes, and from ancient of days, You are He. No one can deliver out of Your hand and when You act, who can reverse it? NO ONE!

Can plunder be taken from warriors, or captives rescued from the fierce?

But this is what the LORD says: "YES! Captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with You, and Your children I will save. Then all mankind will know that I, the LORD, am Your Savior, Your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."

We speak to the spiritual gates over the Peace Region, over Alberta, and over Canada and we say:

Lift up Your heads, O You gates! Be lifted up, You ancient doors!
That the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle!

Lift up Your heads, O You gates; lift them up, You ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is He, this King of glory?
The LORD Almighty-- He is the King of glory!

Ephesians 3:10-11, Isaiah 43:12-13, Isaiah 49:25, 27, Psalm 24:7-10

Final Sealing – Our Father
Lord we seal all that we have prayed and declared here tonight over the Peace Region, over Alberta and over Canada in the Mighty Name of Jesus and we say that we can rest knowing that You are watching over Your word to perform it. What You have promised You will do.

As a final act of faith tonight, we pray even as Jesus taught us to pray.

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen!

Song of Revival

The Peace (c) Charlotte Quist 2006

Let a cry rise up, let our voices be
A song of adoration, a song of humility
Let a cry rise up, let there be release
A cry of intercession upon the Peace

We need You, Lord, We need You

From North to South, from West to East
We cry out "Mighty God, pour out on the Peace"
May this land break forth, supernatural release
Let Your glory fall, throughout the Peace

May Your heart be heard across this land
As we seek Your face and not Your hand
May Your glory fall, may it bring release
As we declare "Jehovah, God of the Peace"

Special Praise Bulletin

Attention all!!
As you are hopefully aware, there is a 24hr praise event this coming Friday, April 27 at the Gaiety Theatre(9932-100 Avenue, Grande Prairie, AB) . Under the blessing of the ministerial, the church worship teams from the city have been called together to simply stand as one on behalf of their church fellowship and praise the Lord in the way their church expresses itself. It is about all the parts coming together to stand as one voice, one heart. We don't fully understand the significance of this event but we do know that it is God's timing and holds a prophetic place in the spirit for our city.
The prayer needs are: for unity among the teams, safety and protection for the teams and their families, blessing over the venue and liberty in the spirit. Most of all, we desire that this would be a pleasing offering to the Lord and that He would be glorified in all that is done.
